A visitor in the Wellington Dock on the 24th April. This 3.5 million pound 90 feet custom built Dutch Barge dating from
2004
Tigre D’Or was nominated as finalist for the Designers Award of the International Superyacht Society
and won in her class best power 23 to 32 metre. She was constructed in Holland by the acclaimed Hakvoort Shipyard and really was something to see! This luxury river vessel, with a steel
hull and superstructure, combines classic barge lines with a cockpit and accommodation more normally associated with a luxury motoryacht. With her extremely low draft, she was specifically designed
and built for the inland  waterways of Europe.

The Dredger Britannia Beaver discharges at the Cemex aggregate berth, western docks. The vessel frequently visits Dover to discharge aggregate dredged from
the seabed to a depth of up to 45 metres. She is owned and operated by Britannia Aggregates and Volker Dredging, a Brett joint venture.

The  trawler Cornelis Vrolijk at Dover Cruise Terminal on the 4th December 2013 having arrived from the Dutch port of Ijmuiden. A large deep sea trawler that catches, processes and
then freezes the fish whilst at sea, she is Dutch owned but registered in the United Kingdom and occasionally calls at the port.

The Lurssen built luxury motor yacht Octopus owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. She caused quite a sensation when she anchored briefly in the
outer harbour during the summer of 2012. She had attended the Olympics and was berthed in London with some smaller examples of similar opulence. Delivered in 2003 she was the largest megayacht in
existence at the time and is still in the top twenty today (2013). Her facilities are impressive and she carries two helicopters, a ten person submarine, remote operated vehicle for studying the
seabed, has a recording studio and a choice of tenders, the main one being “Man of War”.

Owned and operated by the Clearwater Group, the Coralwater can often be seen carrying out bunkering  in the port. She frequently supplies fuel to  P&O vessels and can be seen
in attendance from the cliffs above the Eastern Docks. She is seen here, viewed from the air, laying over on the Eastern Arm in 2010. She often sails for Immingham to load heavy fuel oil
and returns to Dover where she is kept busy with her bunkering operations.

The pilot vessel Khaleeg Aden alongside the visitors pontoon in 2012. She is an Interceptor 55 built by Safehaven Marine and was delivered to the Port of
Aden, Yemen last year

The Astrid visited Dover last summer 2013 for a short stop over in the Outer Harbour. The graceful iron built brig was constructed in 1918 for use in the
Dutch herring industry. Her somewhat chequered career included her being used as a Lebanese cargo vessel involved in smuggling and later she fell into British ownership after being abandoned in the
English Channel following a fire on board in 1984. Subsequently returning to Dutch ownership, she sadly foundered on July 24th 2013 whilst entering Kinsale, County Cork after drifting onto rocks
following engine failure.

On her way home from the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Review in 2012 is Seaward Marine’s Ambulance and Rescue launch Flying Christine II. Her design is based
on the all weather Nelson 45 hull with a one off superstructure design solely dedicated to her useage in and around the treacherous coastline of Guernsey. Operated by the Saint John Ambulance
organisation she responds to the needs of injured or sick seamen from passing ships and also the population of nearby islands Herm and Sark.

The UK Border Agency vessel Seeker overnights alongside the David Church. UKBA cutters are regular visitors to the port, laying over between their
patrols.
